Blankenship cabinets orlando

Ridulous procedure for custom cabinetry work. Work is mediocre at best. We contacted Blankenship to refinish the cabinets in our kitchen, laundry room and three bathrooms. Sue Blankenship came to our home, evaluated the project and took measurements.

We then went to their studio and picked colors and hardware. On this visit we meet with Carla Blakenship, Sue's daughter. Blankenship came and picked up the doors from all of our cabinets to refinish them. They then called to say that if we refinished the Jack and Jill cabinets but changed the plumbing, the drawers would not open and could not be used.

We had not thought about that and it was not mentioned at either previous meeting with them. We were told we needed to order new cabinets for this room. We did. We later receive a phone call that the master bedroom cabinet will not work and will need to be replaced as well. We did that. We then were told that they had accidentally painted our cabinets that were to be stained expresso.

They were now painted in French country white. They asked if we were OK with them leaving them this way. The company came out and measured my kitchen and then when the cabinets didn't fit properly, they charged us for the additional materials to try and make the cabinets work. When we complained saying that this was not our mistake as they did the measuring , they didn't care.

They didn't show up their initial installation day and then wanted to schedule us about a week later. When they did show up, they were always about 3 hours late and then only worked about 3 hours.

They could never finish up for the day because they always had to order more materials. The installation was supposed to be a 1 - 2 day installation and ended up taking weeks. Cabinets were not cut properly to install appliances and our electricians ended up going to home depot and buying materials to make our appliances fit.

They are the folks who ended up making everything work. I could go on and on about this company but the bottom line is that there was an incredible lack of professionalism and a very poor attitude. There was no care or concern in the final product or timeline. I would definitely stear clear of this company and go anywhere else. July 12, Angela Dempsey Average rating: 1 out of 5 stars.

Should Have Gone to Lowes As we wrap up a six-figure renovation, I can say with no hesitation that the selection of Blankenship Cabinets was our single biggest mistake.

I would not under any circumstances use Blankenship again. Later he worked for the local Ethan Allen Gallery and helped to set up their service department. One day a customer asked if he would restore their kitchen cabinets.

Doubtful at first, Ron nonetheless took on the job and found that his furniture restoration skills were just as applicable to cabinetry. Over time, Ron perfected a technique that allowed him to restore cabinets in-place and, as the old saying goes, the rest is history.

Ron has since passed his skills on to his son Brandon who has been working with us since he was a young boy.
